Patrick Owen

Lives & works in Louisville, KY

Patrick Owen is a found object assemblage artist.  He describes his work as story art.  He invites you to spend time with his art looking for narrative clues, bringing your own personal his/herstory to the experience, and then writing the story for yourself.  Many of his pieces are interactive and the viewer is invited to follow the prompts and touch, smell, and play with the art.  His influences include his mother who thankfully put a glue gun and some glitter into his hands at a very young age, his two homes - Louisville and Los Angeles - and the work of so many artists and crafters that he has enjoyed in his travels around the world.
